What data does Pixial support?
Pixial supports data in the “GL Transmission Format Binary file”, or GLB. Your GLB files can be accessed from your computer’s hard drive if you are using Pixial for Windows, or from your headset’s internal storage if you are using Pixial for Meta Quest. Additionally, both versions of Pixial can access files from your enterprise OneDrive account once logged in.
How do I convert my model to GLB?
Most modeling software can export a GLB file natively. If your software can’t, don’t worry! You can covert your model to GLB from another format using a few different methods.
For 3MF, STL, PLY, and OBJ files, the conversion process is straightforward. Simply open your file in Microsoft’s Paint3D, and use the “Save As” function to save your model as a GLB.
How do I load data from OneDrive?
Accessing your data from OneDrive is easy! In your browser,
log in to OneDrive,
drag your GLB file to the desired folder, and
wait for the upload to complete
In Pixial, log in to the same OneDrive account. Once you are logged in, you’ll be able to browse your files freely.
What is a review, and how do I start one?
Starting a review in Pixial creates a folder containing the model(s) you currently have open. Screenshots created during a review are saved to a “screenshots” folder under that one. Pixial reviews show up as purple icons in the file browser, so you can reload models and screenshots together.
To do a shared review, first share a the folder containing a model with your colleague(s) with “Can edit” access. Anyone who the review is shared with can view & add to the screenshot collection.
How do I activate my Pixial subscription?
Once you have purchased a license subscription, a code will be delivered to the email you subscribed with. After logging in inside of Pixial, you will be prompted for the license code. Enter the code and your license will be activated.
